Lucy Liemann returns in Reggie Perrin series 2

Just a quick alert that Reggie Perrin series 2 arrives on BBC1 on Thursday 14 October 2010. I'm glad to see that Lucy is in the cast list so I shall be interupting my viewing of Law & Order UK to watch it.

Series 1 was broadcast last year and was not the disaster I had been expecting so the new series will hopefully be worth a look.

And Lucy is in it.

This episode was shown last Friday but as I have been busy I've only got around to doing them now.

Not too much Lucy in this episode, but I do like the eighth ones which I will call "Jasmine Gazes Wistfully".

The series was a bit hit and miss but was not a complete disaster. And any opportunity to see Lucy in BBC1 in prime time is to be welcomed.

The DVD is already out by the way!

Lucy Liemann in Reggie Perrin Episode 5

There was a lot less of Lucy Liemann in last night's Reggie Perrin compared to the previous episode. She appeared fairly briefly in three scenes. I did my best to get some screen-cap type images. I think they should be a little larger than the ones I've done before.













The episode itself was OK. Some nice moments with the perils of commuting but nothing too special.

Lucy Liemann in Reggie Perrin episode 4

Well, there was a massive jump in visitors to the blog after last night's episode of Reggie Perrin. It was the episode with the business trip to Finland and featured a lot of Lucy Liemann as Jasmine. In fact I think it's safe to say that it had the most screen time for Lucy in the series so far.

And big shock, don't say it too loud, it was actually quite amusing...

In the episode Reggie has a spur-of-the-moment idea to go on a trip to Finland to keep his boss of his back and he insists that Jasmine accompany him. There they get a bit drunk and eventually lock lips before Reggie realises he loves his wife.

I have to say apart from being gorgeous Lucy has great comic timing.

Not much Lucy in this weekend's episode I'm afraid. There was another water cooler moment though:



I did actually like the line that went something like "we don't actually make anything in this country anymore, but we know a man who does and it's my job to email him".

Any sign of that Jasmine screen saver on the BBC website yet?

Lucy Liemann in Reggie Perrin Episode 2

Episode 2 of the BBC's new Reggie Perrin was on last night. It was moderately entertaining in that "I didn't actually laugh out loud but almost smirked occasionally" kind of way.

The studio audience do need to be calmed down a little bit, although some of Reggie's fantasy moments are potentially funny.

I wouldn't go near the thing if Lucy Liemann wasn't in it. Fortunately she had a little more screen time this week so here are some screen grab type images to enjoy

Did you watch Reggie Perrin this weekend?

Well, I know a bunch of you did because I noticed a jump in my visitors over the weekend. I had a look at the keyword analysis on my stat counter and this is what I saw:

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one quite taken by Lucy.

So what did I think of the show? It was as funny as I thought it would be, i.e. not really that funny. The laughter track would go into overdrive at largely laugh-free intervals. Here and there there were a few amusing moments. Lucy shined as Jasmine Strauss, the object of Reggie's yearning. I will continue to watch it and hope it improves.

Oh, by the way, I see that BBC1 repeats it on Saturday night so I have no excuse to miss it.
